ABOUT THE STATE STREET RENEGADE:

The State Street Renegade, the magazine, is published by the State Street News. The State Street Renegade was established in 2016 with a specific idea in mind — champion artistic and journalistic endeavors through exposure and promotions. More than that, give voice to the unheard. Raise the issues and explore solutions.

State Street News is not a social media specifically. It works within traditional journalistic conventions coupled with social media. – sort of a hybrid concept. A grassroots publisher as a launch pad for writers and artists to get an edge in the public sphere with a professional presence. The main reason behind this simple and not unusual idea – The State Street Renegade projects a simplicity aesthetic that of print editions which is not out of the question for future plans.

Inside, writers can network with other writers. Engage in mentorship or collaboration. With that said, it’s a writers’ magazine, by writers and diverse creators of all walks of life. (DISCLAIMER: This is a totally volunteer opportunity at this time.)

ABOUT OUR NAME:

The name, State Street Renegade has significance in its words. We took the name, “State Street” and made it our own to mean; Voices from the Street— where we all live. A local-regional focus on real life in America expressed eloquently by our slogan “It’s different out here”.

Renegade -— a metaphor to describe; thinking outside the box; Not settling for the status quo; Innovation of change and progress; Going against the grain because it’s the right thing to do. We all have agency in this world. Be a Renegade — use it. Tell us how it really is in your world.
