Writer Guidelines

We welcome submissions from writers and journalist. We will try to respond to every submission whether we publish it or not. It is recommended that you orient yourself with State Street News and what interests us.

Desired stories are; adversity to triumph; artist stories, profiles, artists that address social and political discourse; social justice; how artist address the socio-political landscape; civil, equal and human rights; ecology; innovative green technology; also entertainment news like new book, film, and music releases; social and political cartoons.

Very little material is objectionable unless it’s in bad taste. Use of blue language is ok as long as it is relevant to the story and its nuance. Stories that promote ill will, racism, bigotry, and hate will not be accepted period.

(Artist, musicians, photographers, writers, filmmakers etc., et al are considered artists and art)

We are a small staffed organization. Writers submit work that is final or near final draft. We don’t have the resources to spend any substantial time on editing submissions. Most articles go verbatim so what you submit is what may get published so check your work.

Please send plain text in an email –Send images (art, graphics, photos, etc) as attachments  DO NOT INSERT OR PASTE IMAGES IN THE BODY OF THE EMAIL. We will discuss your article prior to being pre-scheduled for publishing.

Send submissions to submissions@statestreetnews.com All submissions are read. You will be contacted if we are going to publish your article.

Writers retain all rights to their material and receive the byline and optional links and short bios if desired. You agree to give State Street News non-exclusive rights to publish your submissions in its flagship publication “State Street Renegade” for an unspecified amount of time unless otherwise stated in writing.

We are a new startup and mistakes will happen. Please be patient while we resolve any issues you may have. You can contact us on any matter through our contact section. We welcome all emails even to say hello.
